What are crowns?

What is a CEREC Same-Day Crown?
Typically when you get a crown, you make an appointment with your dentist to have your tooth prepared to receive the crown. You get a temporary crown, which isn’t very comfortable, to wear while you wait for your crown to be made. Then when the crown is ready, you return for another appointment to have your crown installed.
The CEREC Same-Day Crown procedure is much quicker and simpler than the typical crown installation. During one appointment, Dr. Daza or Dr. Schwartz prepares your tooth for the crown, creates the crown, and installs the crown. The CEREC system uses the latest technology, including 3D software that generates a virtual model of your tooth. This model is sent to a milling machine located in our office that manufactures the crown quickly and with impressive accuracy.
